| Microtector II G460 7 gas detector
This light and robust gas detector is the development of the proven Microtector II G450. The key features are retained - smart, interchangeable sensor technology, low cost of ownership - but extra functionality is now added.
The Microtector II G460 measures up to 7 gases simultaneously in ambient air for increased workplace safety. The sensor slots can be equipped individually. Different detection principles are available for optimal measuring results.
Measurable gases The most common sensors detect O2, H2S, CO, CO2 and combustible gases. Additional sensors are available for NH3, HCl, PH3, HCN, NO, NO2, SO2 and a variety of other gases.
CO2 - reliable infrared measurement For increasing the user's safety, the Microtector II G460 detects carbon dioxide by means of a selective infrared sensor (NDIR). This sensor provides long-term stable detection values. Unlike electrochemical sensors, IR technology is not subject to cross sensitivity from toxic hydrogen sulphide.
The Microtector II G460 is the smallest detector world-wide which can be equipped with both an infrared sensor and a PID.
Monitoring for toxic volatile organic compounds (VOC) Photoionization detector (PID) equipped instruments are increasingly viewed as the best choice for measurement of VOCs at exposure limit concentrations. Familiar substances containing VOCs include solvents, paint thinner and nail polish remover, as well as the vapors associated with fuels such as gasoline, diesel, heating oil, kerosene and jet fuel. The category also includes many specific toxic substances such as benzene, butadiene, hexane, toluene, xylene, and many others. Most VOC vapors are flammable at surprisingly low concentrations. For most VOCs, however, the toxic exposure limit is exceeded long before readings reach a concentration high enough to trigger a combustible range alarm.
Additional functions of the Microtector II G460
- IR-Sensor (CO2) for long-term stable detection values
- Poison resistant CO2 sensor
- PID for monitoring toxic volatile organic compounds (VOC)
- Smart senso technology for adaption and easy replacement

Additional charging options are smart charger cap, dockingstation or vehicle charger.
Carrying possibilities (optional) The light detector can be securely fastened at the user's clothing with a durable crocodile clip. A belt clip is also available. The reversible display allows easy reading by the user.
Comprehensive accessories Various options allow individual adaptation to personal requirements. A number of accesssories make the Microtector II G460 a complete, useful instrument in everyday work with combustible and toxic gases.

| Fastest monitoring of flammable gases
Superior technology Wherever flammable gases or vapours are found, the CC28 provides the best solution for safe monitoring. ATEX-certified design, built-in EX-certified horn and bright LED lights allow safe operation within highly flammable areas. The gas alarm is transmitted to the central control panel, simultaneously warning the control room and the worker in the danger area.
Fastest detection available Using GfG's unique sensor technology, coupled with a special "chimney-effect" the CC28 transmitter has the shortest response time in the market, detecting flammable gases using catalytic bead technology. When used in conjunction with our GMA controller series, a programmed delta alarm can shorten the response time still further. This gives an extra level of safety when handling explosive gas risks.
Smart sensor technology Installation and sensor exchange are quick and easy using pre-calibrated smart, plug-in sensors. One-man calibration/ adjustment is possible directly at the transmitter, without opening the housing.
Versions for each application
CC28 basic unit
CC28 D with additional display of gas concentration
CC28 DA with additional bright LED lights and loud horn. The extra costs for installing an Ex-certified horn and audible alarm are omitted.
The advantages at a glance
- World-wide shortest response time
- Three choices - no display with display or with display and built-in audible and visual alarms
- ATEX-Certification
II 2G EEx dem [ib] IIC T4
- EEC design inspection certificate BVS 04 ATEX E 132 X, functional test: BVS 05 ATEX G 001 X
0158
- Ex-certified visual and loud acoustic alarm
- Less wiring required
- Simple sensor exchange using smart, plug-in sensors
- Long sensor lifetime
- Low maintenance costs
- Status and function display directly on the transmitter
- One-man calibration/ adjustment without opening casing
- Operation possible in inaccessible places via remote control (option)
Remote control (option) Some flammable gases are lighter than air (e.g. methane). If a transmitter is installed close to the ceiling, it can be connected by a fixed installed cable with a plug connection to the remote control. Thus, all adjustments can be made comfortably from floor level. With one remote control device, an unlimited number of transmitters can be controlled in this way.
Using transmitters without display, the remote control shows the current values on its' own display. The display of the remote control mimics the transmitter display exactly. Inspection, maintenance and adjustment are therefore greatly simplified. Using the remote control inspection, service and calibration can be performed easily by one person.

The GMA300 system is a microprocessor-based, 19" rack mounted gas control system for all measuring functions. Depending on the transmitter type connected, the GMA300 is a complete gas detection system for detection of flammable and toxic hazards, and oxygen. The GMA300's highly flexible construction and variety of functions make the system suitable for all gas detection tasks. 3 alarm levels can be set. Additional relay and alarm functions can be configured. All transmitter types can be connected. GMA300 controllers support both 2- and 3-wire devices. The controller supplies power to the attached transmitters, depending on system configuration a large number of measuring points can be connected. In addition to the GMA100 system, the GMA300 offers digital communication via CAN OPEN bus.
GMA300 system versions
GMA301 for 1 transmitter for control of 1 measuring point. 3 alarms and fault output.
GMA304 for 4 transmitters for control of up to 4 measuring points. 3 common alarms and fault output.
Simple operation Gas concentration is continuously shown on a 3-digit LED display. Gas concentration, gas type and detection range can all be displayed via a simple button push. Zero and span adjustment can also be performed simply via the simple operation from push buttons. The controller has a min/max memory that enables the user to check the exact concentrations encountered after a gas alarm has occurred. In addition, the highest or lowest measured value is stored and displayed in the LED display. A 4-20mA output is available to transmit gas measurement readings to external devices.
Alarm functions 3 alarm thresholds can be set. Additional relay and alarm functions are adjustable: exceeding/falling below, latching/not latching, quiescent current/full load current, open/normally closed contact, signal delay and hysteresis. 4 LED lights display operation status, alarm and fault signals.
Delta alarm The delta alarm function can be used to ensure the fastest response to a gas leak. Not only the measured gas concentration is considered, but also the rate of rise of the measured value. An unusually fast rate of rise can be used to trigger the alarms, even before the normal threshold value has been reached.
The advantages at a glance
- Simple rack mounting
- Measured values and alarms are displayed on each channel
- Digital interface CAN OPEN bus
- Simple operation
- Menu-led service operation
- 4 relays for 3 alarms, 1 fault alarm
